BlackBerry Blues

Some BlackBerry users migrated to the iPhone 4S on the release date due to frustration with Research in Motion.  Some are diehard BlackBerry (often dubbed “CrackBerry”) users and aren’t ready to jump ship. October BlackBerry outages were widespread enough to get major attention in the news and to result in RIM offering freebie apps to customers to make up for the outages for the balance of 2011. 2. We have three different smartphones in our house, a Sony Xperia (mine) an Iphone 4s and a Blackberry Bold (my daughters)
I chose the Xperia because of the HD video and 8mp camera because I like to upload on the move. My daughters Iphone 3g contract expired and was upgraded to the 4s which she loves. Her old Iphone suffered a lot of abuse but has never let her down hence her willingness to upgrade to the latest model.
The Blackberry however has been replaced four times in the last 12 months because of “faults” Couple that with the outages suffered by Blackberry users has left my daughter with a very unhappy user experience of this model.
In conclusion as our contracts expire I feel we will all become Iphone coverts.

  3. A lot of people find they need to try a few different models of smartphone to meet their needs and are frustrated at the trial and error process, especially when they have to “hang in there” for 3 year contract periods. It’s tricky but one of the reasons that taking your time to review different phones and carriers before buying is such a good idea.

    Thanks for your comment, Paul.
